Our Cows are our Superheroes, or rather our SuperHeroines! We love them, respect them, pamper them and even worship them!
They are after all the centre of our universe at AUMRUT!
Our beautiful Holstein Friesians(HF) did originate from the hinterlands of Holland & Germany; over the last few decades we have ensured that they are just at home in India too. In addition to these HF Cows, we also proudly nurture our indigenous Gir cows which are amongst the most sought after Indian dairy cattle. Our farm is one of the few farms in India which can boast of this diversity of housing the World’s favourite dairy cattle –

Our Cows

We love, nourish, respect and pamper the needs of each of our cows right from the moment they join our family as young cows to adulthood to pregnancy to delivery and the cycle of care repeats itself thereafter…
Love
Technically we are a dairy farm but we are nothing short of a peaceful abode for these cows who we strive day and night for! Our farm is the ONLY farm in India which doesn’t have confined cow cubicles! Our beloved cows have never been and will never be imprisoned in those inhumane cubicles which restricts basic movement. Instead our monochrome beauties are homed in a 5000 square feet open air palatial barn where they spend most of their time socializing and gossiping with their cow-mates! These barns are soiled paddocks which offer maximum comfort for resting in between their social engagements. Our cows are our social butterflies, come meet them to feel the love they have and share with each other.
Nourish
Amidst their daily socializing rituals, we ensure that every cow is nurtured with the healthiest food. The daily feed of our cows consists of a scientifically designed blend of ration called Total Meal Ration or T.M.R and is blend of regular and seasonal favourites of our cows. The Key ingredients of this daily feed are Maize, Grain-meal, Grass, Cotton Seeds, Sorghum, Lucerne, Napier, Soybean and other quality cereals, legumes and seasonal Silage. Our fodder is especially blend by cattle nutrition experts to ensure optimal nourishment of our cows to boost their health, well-being and thus the nutritional content of the milk. In fact we also use a Toxin-binder in our feed to protect our cows from any inadvertent inclusion of toxicity. All our fodder is sourced locally from around our Farm, via our 100 plus trusted local farmers who offer only the best of their seasonal produce so we can heartily nourish our cows.
Respect
When we say we worship our Superheroines, we mean it. Our cows are never tied or roped or huddled. We respect their needs and comforts and thus make water available to them 24 hours a day along with 3 timely feeding rituals on a daily basis. Our feeding ritual is a group ritual to continue the social dynamics our cows have built with each other while they are happily grazing away. Also we pay utmost attention to their basic healthcare with the help of routine medical examinations and vaccinations to prevent diseases and infections.
Pamper
On any given day you’ll find our cows chilling with our mega fans placed strategically throughout our palatial barn as they enjoy a cool afternoon breeze. Before every milking ritual our cows indulge into a luxurious shower that not only cools and refreshes them, but also boosts their milk yield! All the cows are then gently sanitized and readied for hands-free automated milking in our parlour. Cow brushes are also placed at regular intervals which pamper and boost the overall hygiene, health and welfare of our cows. There’s nothing a good scrubilicious massage can’t fix!
